Singapore is a compact, English-speaking destination whose public universities include two of Asia's highest-ranked institutions, NUS and NTU.

The community

India's Ministry of External Affairs counted 3,250 Indian students in Singapore's universities and tertiary institutions as of January 2025. In the QS World University Rankings 2027, NUS placed 10th and NTU 12th. Ethnic Indians made up 9.0 per cent of Singapore's resident population in the 2020 census.

In the QS World University Rankings 2027, the National University of Singapore ranked 10th in the world and Nanyang Technological University 12th. Source
