Cyprus had 2,692 degree students from India in 2023/24, according to Eurostat. Just over half of its higher education programmes are now taught mainly in English.

Eurostat counts 2,692 students from India in Cyprus in 2023/24, and India's Ministry of External Affairs reports 2,778 as of January 2025. The number was higher in 2020 (4,012), fell to 2,058 in 2022 and has been rising since. Cyprus had 58,941 higher education students in 2023/24, 16% of them from outside the EU, and for the first time most programmes (51%) were taught mainly in English.
