The Czech Republic had 2,005 Indian university students at the end of 2025, making India the fifth-largest foreign nationality at Czech universities.
The community
Indian enrolment at Czech universities has grown every year, from 1,152 in 2020 to 2,005 in 2025, according to the Czech Statistical Office. Almost all study at public universities (1,897 in 2025). About a quarter are doctoral students (481), a much higher share than the 5.3% for all students. The largest fields for Indian students in 2025 were health and social care (487) and business, administration and law (471).
